Main Purpose of Job

To test the Re-Employment BEACON UI Modernization system funtionality in the areas of Benefits and Tax for quality assurance in meeting UI business requirments and processes (this is an acting capacity recruitment only).

POSITION DUTIES

Participate in tester training and onboarding sessions to be provided by the project management office.

Conduct testing of various functionality of the system in the areas of Initial Claims, Special Programs, Wage and Monetary Determination, Continued Claims and Payment Processing, Adjudication, Benefit Charging, Claim Maintenance, Collections and Program Integrity, ETA/BTQ/TPS, Appeals, Employer Registration and Infrastructure, Employer Maintenance, Wage Reports, Tax Payments and Refunds, Financial Interfaces and General Ledger, Tax Collections, Tax Rates, Experience Transfers and Field Audit, and Tax Reporting.

- Document a Problem Incident Report (PIR) for functionality that does not meet expected results, is a defect, or requires a change order to adequately meet standards of business practices and requirements.

- Submit Pass, Fail, In-Progress details for Data Entry

- Expected to commit to testing assignments (Data Migration, scripts, and/or PIRs)

- Report status of assigned testing items in % complete, date to finish, and raise any risk to completion within defined timeline

- Meet daily testing benchmarks set.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: None.

Experience: One year of full-time paid employment in the Maryland State classification of Unemployment Insurance Specialist II/III or equivalent classification in the Employment Security Administration including on-the-job training in the conduct of predetermination and pretermination hearings.

SELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must meet the selective qualification(s) to be considered. Include clear and specific information on your application regarding your qualifications.

Two (2) years experience in one or more of the following applications: WEB221/MIRA, WEBTAX, NETCLAIMS and APPEALS CASE Tracking. Open to current MD Unemployment Insurance employees.

BARGAINING UNIT STATUS

The incumbent in this position is a member of a covered bargaining unit and will be required to pay a bi-weekly service fee to the exclusive representative of the bargaining unit.
