LOCATION OF POSITION
DHMH, Office of Systems, Operations and Pharmacy, Baltimore, MD
Main Purpose of Job
The main purpose of this position is to provide support to all Divisions of the Office of Systems, Operations and Pharmacy (OSOP) in the following areas: purchasing and requisition, procurement and negotiation for services and maintenance contracts, inventory control, physical office space planning/relocation, telephone communications and printing.
Education: Graduation from a standard high school or possession of a State high school equivalence certificate.
Experience: Six years of experience in receiving, storing, issuing, purchasing and requisitioning supplies, materials, and equipment, four-years of which must have included experience at the supervisory or management level or must have involved the final responsibility for purchasing and requisitioning.
Notes: Applicants may substitute education at an accredited college or university at the rate of 30 semester hours for one year of experience for up to one year of the required general experience.

The applicant should have experience in purchasing and requisitioning supplies, materials and equipment that must have involved the final responsibility for purchasing.

The incumbent in this position is a member of a covered bargaining unit and will be required to pay a bi-weekly service fee to the exclusive representative of the bargaining unit.
