Main Purpose of Job
The main purpose of this Physician is to provide medical management for patients who seek care in the Sexually Transmitted Infection, Family Planning and HIV/AIDS clinics. This position will also provide consultation for general medical inquires as needed within the Agency. These services tie directly to the mission of the Health Department, which is to protect the public's health, assure access to quality health care and to promote individual and community responsibility for the prevention of disease and disability.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Requires a Medical Degree from an accredited medical school, Board Certification, and five years of medical practice or public health experience, three of the five years of experience must have been at a supervisory or administrative level in a health care organization or system.
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
Applicants must be licensed by the Maryland Board of Physicians to practice medicine under Maryland State Law. A copy of the current license must be attached to the application.
