Main Purpose of Job
The Maryland Department of Human Services (DHS), in cooperation with the St. Mary's County Government, seeks an accomplished administrator to direct and lead all program activities of the St. Mary's County Department of Social Services (DSS) including Child Welfare, Family and Adult Services, Financial Assistance Programs, Nutrition Assistance, and Child Support. The St. Mary's County DSS, located in the County seat of Leonardtown, MD has a staff of 122 and a $37 million operating budget.
St. Mary’s County is a vibrant rural and suburban county with a population of more than 110,000 and a median household income of $88,190.
