Main Purpose of Job
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Completion of the sixth grade.
Experience: One year of experience in the operation of complex or specialized construction or maintenance equipment which has a pedal operated clutch and a multi-speed manual transmission.
Note: Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in Equipment Operator classifications or Equipment Operator and Vehicle Operator Specialty codes in the Equipment Operation field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in grounds and building maintenance
Experience in cemetery maintenance
Ability to effectively operate multiple pieces of equipment; including but not limited to tractors, front end loaders, backhoes and vault haulers.
Ability to perform routine maintenance on operating vehicles.
