Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position, serving as the Program Director, is to assist the Director of Behavioral Health Services in administration of Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services by being responsible for all treatment and prevention services including the maintenance of quality of care. Behavioral Health Services includes (5) service sites (i.e., Barstow, Chesapeake Beach, Prince Frederick, Lusby, Calvert County Detention Center).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and 6 years of health or human services professional experience, including 3 of which must have been in professional work related to treatment and services to persons with alcohol or other substance addiction, and 2 of which must have been at the managerial or supervisory level.

A master's degree will substitute for one year of general experience.  A doctorate will substitute for 2 years general experience.  Additional experience may substitute year-for-year for the college degree.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

One or more of the following licensures is desired:  Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) or Licensed Certified Social Worker - Clinical (LCSW-C).

SELECTION PROCESS

This is a Management Service position, and serves at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority.  A resume must accompany your application.
