LOCATION OF POSITION
Main Purpose of Job
POSITION DUTIES
Inputs source data into citations from source documents prepared by field inspectors; reviews citations for accuracy; and prepares citation for distribution to establishments.
Provide administrative support to Safety Inspection Unit by ensuring that the daily workflow of administrative responsibilities are performed according to established policies and procedures set forth by management.
Prepares weekly report of all citations prepared and mailed each week.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Completion of 60 credit hours at an accredited college or university.
Experience: One year of experience in administrative or professional work.
Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute experience as defined above for the required education at the rate of one year of experience for 30 credit hours, for up to 60 credit hours of required education.
2. Candidates may substitute 90 credit hours at an accredited college or university for the required education and experience.
3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer involving staff work requiring regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting rules and regulations in accordance with agency laws and policies on a year-for-year basis for the required education and experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working within a regulatory and codified environment; reviewing, researching, and applying standards and regulations; report writing experience, and excellent proofreading skills.
Excellent verbal, analytical, organizational and written skills
Excellent computer skills specifically with MS Office Suite preferred.

BENEFITS
Leave may be granted to a temporary/contractual employee who has worked 120 days in a 12 month period. This leave accrues at a rate of one hour for every 30 hours worked, not to exceed 40 hours per calendar year.

Any job offer will be contingent on the candidate providing a U.S. Military form DD 214 verifying honorable discharge from service prior to starting employment (and may be requested prior to interview).
