Introduction
This is a full time vacancy with the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Agency.

LOCATION OF POSITION
This position is located at 1800 Washington Blvd., Suite 330, Baltimore, MD 21230.
Main Purpose of Job
Provide support for members of Creative Services department in the development and execution of Lottery advertising programs. Participates and provides insight in planning, implementing and evaluating traditional and digital advertising campaigns, including television, radio, social media and digital advertising.
POSITION DUTIES
Coordinates work flow with other Lottery agency departments and outside Lottery partners.
Uses word processing, data base, spreadsheet or desktop publishing computer software applications to prepare reports, charts, graphs or other documents.
Enters, updates, verifies and retrieves data using computer data base or spreadsheet software applications. Also assists with updates across Lottery websites.
Develops understanding of Lottery’s advertising/media billing policies and practices. Provides assistance to senior department members in the review and processing of advertising invoices and preparation of accurate budget reports.
Schedules meetings, prepares agendas, records minutes and summarizes in conference-type reports.
Reviews and proofreads various advertising layouts and retailer materials to ensure accuracy and consistency with predetermined strategy. Provides feedback to senior department members.
Maintains important and confidential records, schedules, flow charts expense accounts and office supplies.
Collects information and prepares Powerpoint or comparable presentations, reports or articles for senior department members for use in meetings or planning discussions. Helps develop content and obtains materials for a variety of internal and external sources.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: Four years performing secretarial work or clerical work involving typing duties.
Notes:
1. Additional secretarial or clerical experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
2. Thirty credit hours with a major in secretarial science or office technology from an accredited college may be substituted at the rate of thirty credits for one year of experience for up to two years of the required experience.
3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in Administration classifications or Administrative, Clerical, or Office Services specialty codes in the Administrative Support field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in advertising, media or digital / social communications
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
Experience using Photoshop, Adobe and Illustrator
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrated ability to accurately type on a keyboard on a personal computer at a minimum of forty words per minute may be required, depending on the specific requirements of the position.

BARGAINING UNIT STATUS
The incumbent in this position is a member of a covered bargaining unit and will be required to pay a bi-weekly service fee to the exclusive representative of the bargaining unit.
