Main Purpose of Job
This position will function as a Credentialing Coordinator/Assistant to the Chief Medical Officer and is responsible for the efficient management of the medical staff credentialing and privileging function which ensures quality patient care, protects the hospital from financial loss, and preserves and enhances the reputation of Western Maryland Hospital Center (WMHC) and its practitioners.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
The desired applicant should have experience with medical staff credentialing and re-credentialing; designing and maintaining a credentialing process in conformance with Joint Commission Standards.
Demonstrated ability to accurately type on a keyboard on a personal computer at a minimum of forty words per minute may be required, depending on the specific requirements of the position.
