LOCATION OF POSITION
MDH/Worcester County Health Department, Administration Department, Snow Hill, Maryland
Main Purpose of Job
The main purpose of this position is to perform all functions of Merit payroll; prepare, process, and track Merit, Contract, and/or Consultant hires; and other general clerical duties related to personnel. This position will assist the Personnel Associate and/or HR Officer with the functions of Human Resources and provide excellent customer service to all clients, both internal and external, as well as perform other duties as assigned.
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: One year of general clerical or administrative support experience.
Note: Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in human resources assistance classification or human resources assistance specialty codes in the human resources management field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
The selected candidate for this position must possess at least one (1) year of experience in a human resources/personnel role to include the handling of confidential and/or sensitive personnel-related information.
