Main Purpose of Job
The Chief Medical Officer is responsible for the administration of all clinical departments, programs, and services at the Western Maryland Hospital Center, which include a Comprehensive Care Unit, Brain Injury Program, and High Intensity Medical Program, assuring the delivery of quality patient/resident care and meeting all standards of accreditation, licensing and regulatory bodies. The Chief Medical Officer serves as the facility’s Medical Director, as well as attending physician for patients and residents. Serves as a member of the Senior Leadership team, providing strategic management and leadership in order to achieve the hospital’s mission and vision.
Requires a Medical Degree from an accredited medical school, Board Certification, and five years of medical practice or public health experience, three years of experience must have been at administrative level in a health care organization or system.
This is a Management Service position, and serves at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority. A resume must accompany your application.
