LOCATION OF POSITION

Main Purpose of Job
This position learns to recruit health programmatic and operational professional, paraprofessional and administrative resources for all vacant positions with the Maryland Department of Health. This includes, but is not limited to, learning to: review applications for minimum qualifications; consult with and advise hiring managers regarding recruitments; construct tests; score applications; generate certified lists; and, utilize JobAps (online recruitment system). This position will also attend job fairs/networking events with senior staff; handle online and print advertising and media planning; and, participate in ongoing departmental branding/marketing efforts. This position requires occasional travel and will be expected to work effectively within a team environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
The desired candidate should have previous recruitment experience, including reviewing and rating applications. The desired candidate should also possess experience with editing or proofreading and be detail-oriented . The desired candidate will have experience interacting with the public and making presentations.
