Main Purpose of Job
POSITION DUTIES
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: A minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university and three years of criminal or fraud investigative experience.
NOTES:
- Applicants may substitute graduate education for the required general experience at the rate of one year of education to one year of experience, for up to two years of the required general experience.
- Applicants may substitute additional experience as defined above for the required education at the rate of one year of experience to one year of education, for up to four years of the required education.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Must have computer software experience, including use of Microsoft Access and Excel, word processing programs, fundamental understanding of database concepts and experience using the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) and the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB).
Must have excellent communication and writing skills.
Must be willing to work throughout the state and at times work outside the typical workday, as required.

BENEFITS
Contractual employees who work for an agency covered under the State Employee and Retiree Health and Welfare Benefits Program (the Program), have a current employment contract and work 30 or more hours a week (or on average 130 hours per month) may be eligible for subsidized health benefits coverage for themselves and their dependents. As a contractual employee, you will be responsible for paying 25% of the premiums for your medical and prescription coverage, including any eligible dependents you have enrolled. The State of Maryland will subsidize the remaining 75% of the cost for these benefits. You can also elect to enroll in dental coverage, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, and life insurance, but will be responsible to pay the full premium for these benefits.
