Main Purpose of Job

Responsible for overall Administration of MCE's Hagerstown Warehouse. Storage of products received from our Production Plants located in State Prisons and deliveries to customer state-wide. The MCE Warehouse/Regional Manager in Hagerstown, MD is responsible for the oversight and delivery functions of the warehouse This position efficiently coordinates and schedules the transfer of finished goods from the MCE Plants within its area of responsibility to the warehouse, combines and stages finished goods for customer orders and ensures on time delivery of all MCE products. The position works in conjunction with the MCE Jessup Warehouse as well as the MCE Projects on a daily basis. Employees in this classification manage the work of the MCE Assistant Warehouse Manager and MCE Warehouse driver/supervisor as well as an inmate warehouse and delivery team. Ability to travel regionally as needed is required for this position as well as proven project management skills, with the ability to lead initiatives according to business needs and strategy.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:  Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience:  Five (5) years of experience in warehousing, distribution, cross-dock, supply chain or related field.

Notes:

Candidates may substitute additional post-secondary education in Business Management, Operations, Supply Chain or related field from an accredited college or university at the rate of 30 semester credit hours for each year up to two years of the required experience.

SELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS

Three (3) years of experience supervising employees; preferably in Warehousing and/or Distribution settings.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The following experience is desired but not required:

  • Prior experience managing large warehouse.
  • Experience managing and leading a high volume warehouse team, people management.
  • Must be capable of coordinating and scheduling multi-faceted project deliveries.
  • Possess basic accounting/bookkeeping skills with strong aptitude for numbers, and strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with POS and inventory systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of all functions with the warehouse.
  • Must have exemplary customer service skills.
  • Must be able to support internal and external customer requirements.
  • Must be computer literate, including intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and MS Office Suite.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Employees who have not already done so must complete and successfully pass the Entrance Level Correctional Training Course required for the Maryland Correctional Training Commission certificate during the probationary period.

Employees in this classification are subject to substance abuse testing in accordance with Code of Maryland Regulations 17.04.09, Testing for Illegal Use of Drugs.
