POSITION DUTIES

Special Projects Section's Questionable Returns Detection Team (QRDT)-is advanced level positions in the Processing Unit. The team is generally responsible for reviewing and performing research on suspended transactions in SMART utilizing Business Objects (BOBJ/Data Warehouse), assist the Investigation Team in preparing case referrals to the Comptroller's Field Enforcement Division, Compliance Division Criminal Investigation Unit, Postal Inspector or Office of the Attorney General, as well as other duties related to identifying questionable returns and special projects. Obtain current address or background information about individual taxpayers to enable Revenue Administration and Compliance Division employees to more efficiently pursue delinquent taxpayers.

Error Correction Unit-is responsible for correcting returns, payments and associated documents that are suspended or pending review on all tax types, however, may be assigned other duties depending on the workload. Correction of returns, payments and associated documents is a function of the Revenue Administration Divisions responsibility to process legally required tax documents including, but not limited to individual, corporation, pass-through, fiduciary, sales and use, withholding taxes and related payments. Perform any other RAD functions as required by operational needs.

These positions will be available January 2019 through end of May 2019. 

Shifts are available:

  • 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
  • 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
  • 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
  • 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
  • 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Candidates may be required to work some State Holidays and Saturdays during the period of February 1st through May 31st.
