Main Purpose of Job

This position serves as the Director of the Maryland State Police Quartermaster Division. It is responsible for the management of a 22 million dollar procurement operation and supervision of several department programs and sub-units to include: the Department Armorer, Federal 1033 Surplus Property Program, Federal 1122 Procurement Program and Quartermaster Division warehouse operations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified applicants must possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and six years of professional experience to include procurement, budget management and warehouse management.

Candidates may substitute additional years of experience for the required education on a year-for-year basis. 

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in policy development and review

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Applicants for this position will be subject to a complete criminal background investigation to include a polygraph examination before permanent appointment can be made.  A criminal conviction may be grounds for rejection of the applicant.

SELECTION PROCESS

The evaluation will include rating your application based on education, training and experience as they relate to the requirements of the position. It is essential, therefore, that you provide complete and accurate information on your application. Qualified candidates will be placed on a certified eligible list which will be used by the hiring manager to select the individual to fill the vacancy. The list will be valid for one year.
