LOCATION OF POSITION
MDH, Wicomico County Health Department, Salisbury, MD
Main Purpose of Job
The main purpose of the position is to serve as the Deputy Health Officer for Wicomico County Health Department. This position will direct and manage the administrative activities of the Wicomico County Health Department, and is responsible for direction, supervision and guidance of all administrative and support services, major programs and policy development subject to the final approval of the Health Officer. Major Divisions are: Environmental Health, Behavioral Health Services, Administration, Case Management, and Behavioral Health Authority. This position is designated emergency essential.
Bachelor’s Degree and five years of professional experience in health services administration including three years of administrative experience must have included responsibility for budget management, fiscal planning, grants management or closely related area; and two years must have involved supervision of professional staff. A related Master’s Degree will substitute for two years of general health services/public health experience.
This is a Management Service position, and serves at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority. A resume must accompany your application.
