Main Purpose of Job

This position functions as the Program Director at the Intake Unit, a locked evaluation and treatment facility for court ordered individuals diagnosed with psychiatric illness. This management position oversees the clinical and programmatic operations of a 24 bed forensic inpatient facility, approximately 30 staff and manages all aspects of the facilities operations through the direct supervision of professional staff. The Program Director provides leadership in resolving legal, programmatic and fiscal issues while maintaining compliance with State and Federal standards. The Program Director coordinates and collaborates with government agencies, legislators, private treatment providers, courts and detention centers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree in health, human services, criminal justice, business administration or related field; Masters desired.

Six years of experience providing health services or overseeing operations in a behavioral health care setting (MH/Addictions/DD) to include some targeted experience in program planning, development or quality improvement initiatives.   Four years of past supervisory experience is required.  

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience overseeing fiscal and human resources; experience with courts or criminal justice system.

SELECTION PROCESS

This is a Management Service position, and serves at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority.  A resume must accompany your application.
