Introduction
The Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Engineering and Construction Unit, is currently accepting applications for an Engineering AutoCAD Internship position. The internship period will take place from December 2018 through December 2019. The internship will be part-time and work at least 24 hrs/week through the summer of 2019, with flexible work days and times through the summer and holidays. Specific start date, end date, and schedule will be determined in collaboration between the intern and supervisor based upon mutual needs.

580 Taylor Avenue, Annapolis, Maryland (Anne Arundel County)
Main Purpose of Job
This position will be responsible for assisting DNR's Regional Engineers and Critical Maintenance Engineers with the civil design of various projects. Projects will include mapping facilities, site development plans, field surveys, utility design and sediment control plans. This position will involve office and field work.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university in an engineering curriculum.
Must be able to commit to a minimum of 24 hours per week through the summer of 2019 and have reliable transportation.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preference will be given to engineering students with previous experience as an Intern for DNR.
SELECTION PROCESS
