Introduction
LOCATION OF POSITION
Main Purpose of Job
POSITION DUTIES
Schedule athletic contests for middle school and elementary school programs such as soccer; football, volleyball, basketball, wrestling, track, softball and baseball.
Schedule referees for all athletic events.
Interview, hire and manage coaches.
Coordinate set up of fields and gyms for athletic contests.
Order athletic supplies.
Coordinate transportation for away games and arrange meals prior to and after games.
Serve as the building manager and teach a physical education class.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Master’s Degree in Physical Education or related field.
Experience:
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
Experience working with Deaf and hard of hearing students
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
New hires are subject to a criminal background investigation at their own expense. (Maryland Code, Family Law Article 1, Sections 5-560-568)
Applicants must have fluency in American Sign Language (ASL).
Applicants will need to provide three letters of recommendation.
