Main Purpose of Job

This position functions as the primary assistant to the Housekeeping Supervisor IV. The position assists in planning work, assigning work and supervising housekeeping functions throughout the hospital. In the absence of the Housekeeping Supervisor IV, assumes responsibility for all housekeeping services within the facility.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Experience: Two years of experience supervising housekeeping and custodial activities at a State institution or public building.

OR

Six years full-time experience in a housekeeping operation at a school, hospital, hotel or other institution, three years of which must have been in a supervisory capacity.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

1. Employees in this classification may be required to work weekends and holidays based on staffing needs. Employees required to work on those days will receive compensatory time off on other days. 2. Employees in this classification may be required to live on the grounds of the institution or agency.
