MDH/Caroline County Health Department, Medical Assistance Transportation Unit, Denton, Maryland

Main Purpose of Job

This position will oversee and manage the client/patient drivers in the Medical Assistance Transportation (MAT) program. This position will also handle the day-to-day mechanics of identifying and assigning pick-up routes to the various drivers.

In addition, this position will ensure that all operational and programmatic guidelines are followed, and that all safety checks and maintenance schedules are established and performed.

Finally, this position will be the main contact point for the drivers, as well as a liaison to the appointment scheduling staff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience: Two years of experience in either general services functions and office administration activities, or in the receiving, storing, issuance, purchase, or requisition of equipment, materials, parts, and supplies.

Notes:

1. Additional experience, as stated above, may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.

2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a Non-Commissioned Officer in logistics specialist classifications or administrative support specialty codes in the logistics field of work, on a year-for-year basis, for the required experience.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The desired candidate should have supervisory experience, as well as experience with scheduling appointments and processing data.
