Main Purpose of Job

This position administers the Young Father's and Non-Custodial Parent Employment Program as it relates to Child Support Enforcement; coordinates the recruitments, program development and implementation and resource development of these programs. The goal is to enable the participants to be responsible with their children and families and to gain employment to enable them to pay their Child Support obligation.

POSITION DUTIES

This position provides direct case management services to at-risk men and women and their families in order to develop nurturing and supportive relationships; provides guidance and resource development to customers based on their individual assessments to assist them in obtaining employment or by providing skills training; administers program support activities which includes the interpretation and application of administrative plans and policies; collaborates with local community agencies and partners and internal partners in order to develop resources; and monitors monthly expenditures and procurement activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience: One year of experience in the administration of a human services program or experience conducting studies and analyses of programs, procedures, practices and organizations.

Notes:

1. Additional professional or technical experience in the administration of a human services program or experience conducting studies and analyses of programs, procedures, practices and organizations may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.

2. Applicants may substitute education at the graduate level at an accredited college or university in a human services related field at the rate of 30 semester hours per year for the required experience.

3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Administrative Officer classification or Administrative Office specialty codes in the General, Administrative, Clerical and Office Services field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preference will be given to applicants who possess the following preferred qualification(s). Include clear and specific information on your application regarding your qualifications.

The ideal candidate will possess:

1. One year of case management experience.

2. One year of experience obtaining information through interviews with individuals who may be hostile, uncooperative or confused.

3. One year of experience investigating and analyzing child support cases.
