Introduction
This is a contractual recruitment for the Maryland Department of the Environment/Land and Materials Administration. This recruitment will be used to fill current and future vacancies for this position/function only. The resulting cert list will be maintained for one year. Persons interested in future vacancies within the classification must re-apply.
Please note that contractual positions do not offer the same State benefits as permanent positions.

Main Purpose of Job
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Completion of 60 credit hours at an accredited college or university.
Experience: None
Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute one year of experience in administrative or professional work for the required education, at the rate of one year of experience for 30 credit hours, for up to 60 credit hours of the required education.
2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer involving staff work requiring regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting rules and regulations in accordance with agency laws and policies on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
It is preferred that the selected candidate has the following:
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access;
- Experience with customer service in a business environment;
- Ability to multi-task;
- Ability to work with others as a team player;
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
