Main Purpose of Job

This position administers the Young Father's and Non-Custodial Parent Employment Program as it relates to Child Support Enforcement; coordinates the recruitments, program development and implementation and resource development of these programs. The goal is to enable the participants to be responsible with their children and families and to gain employment to enable them to pay their Child Support obligation.

POSITION DUTIES

This position provides direct case management services to at risk men and women and their families in order to develop nurturing and supportive relationships; provides guidance and resource development to customers based on their individual assessments to assist them in obtaining employment or by providing skills training; administers program support activities which includes the interpretation and application of administrative plans and policies; collaborates with local community agencies and partners and internal partners in order to develop resources; and monitors monthly expenditures and procurement activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience: Three years of experience in the administration of a human services program or experience conducting studies and analyses of programs, procedures, practices and organizations.

Notes:

1. Additional professional or technical experience in the administration of a human services program or experience conducting studies and analyses of programs, procedures, practices and organizations may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.

2. Education at the graduate level at an accredited college or university in a human services related field may be substituted at the rate of 30 semester hours per year for up to two years of the required experience.

3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Administrative Officer classifications and Administrative Officer specialty codes in the General, Administrative, Clerical, and Officer Services field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preference will be given to applicants who possess the following preferred qualification(s). Include clear and specific information on your application regarding your qualifications.

The ideal candidate will possess:

1.  Three years of case management experience.

2.  Two years of experience working with individuals with substance abuse disorder, behavioral health issues and history of incarceration.

3.  One year of experience building and maintaining relationships with community resource providers and employers.
