Main Purpose of Job
This position will work under the supervision of the Health Policy Analyst Advanced in the HealthChoice and Acute Care Administration to review, analyze, edit, and contribute to drafts of contracts, reports, and data prior to finalization. Working within the HealthChoice and Acute Care Administration, this position will assist in writing managed care organization (MCO) contracts and ensuring they are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, managing contract updates and execution, and coordinating the update of Maryland Medicaid policies to comply with regulatory requirements. This position will be responsible for monitoring updates in state and federal laws and regulations related to Maryland Medicaid and updating the HealthChoice and Acute Care websites with information. This position will assist with the annual MCO Quality Meeting process by compiling and analyzing surveys and data compiled from multiple sources and administrations. This position will also assist with special projects, including acting as a liaison between the HealthChoice and Acute Care Administration, the administrative services organization for behavioral health services, and the Behavioral Health Administration to improve care coordination between the managed care organizations and the behavioral health carve-out. This position will assist with HealthChoice and Acute Care Administration special projects and procurement cycles, including coordinating with subject matter experts to manage procurement timelines.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The desired candidate should have:
- experience writing managed care organization contracts

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.
