Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position is responsible for managing Baltimore City Field Office and for directing and supervising staff engaged in providing Probation and Aftercare services to juveniles referred by the courts, law enforcement, educational authorities or community agencies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:  Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.

Note: An Associate of Arts degree in the social or behavioral sciences or criminal justice from an accredited college or university and three years of experience supervising case management staff may be substituted for the required Bachelor's degree.

EXPERIENCE: Five years of experience providing case management services to emotionally or social maladjusted, delinquent victimized or exceptional juveniles in a community or residential setting.

NOTE: Two years of this experience must have involved the supervision of case management service staff.  A Master's degree in the social or behavioral sciences or criminal justice from an accredited college or university and two years of experience supervising case management staff may be substituted for one year of the required general experience.  

 

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motorvehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator'slicense valid in the State of Maryland.
