Main Purpose of Job
POSITION DUTIES
Duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Supervises the program and exercises independent judgement and analysis to interpret complex administrative plans and policies for the Board. Manages the daily activities of the Board in executing its mandate to examine, qualify, license and regulate licensees and inspectors. Exercises independent judgement and responsibility for the overall Board program, including independent analysis of operations, procedures, organizations, and systems and recommends improvements.
- Schedules and prepares for monthly meetings of the Board, including agenda preparation and documentation of actions taken and official minutes. Provide initial evaluations regarding the adequacy of the applications and complaints. Executes and communicates all Board actions including requests for information, approvals, denials, and disciplinary actions for professional practices. Formulates final reports and effective recommendations based on analyses conducted with respect to applicants seeking to qualify for licensure as well as with respect to consumer complaints.
- Manages complaint intake, file maintenance, scheduling of formal and informal hearings, referrals for investigation and all contact with complaints and respondents. Oversees and produces all correspondence required under the complaint process and seeks timeliness and fairness for both complainant and respondent.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
Experience: One (I) year experience in administrative or professional work.
Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute additional experience in administrative staff or professional work on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
2. Candidates may substitute additional graduate level education at an accredited college or university at the rate of 30 semester credit hours for each year of the required experience.
3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work that included regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting complex administrative plans, policies, rules or regulations or analysis of operational programs or procedures with recommendations for improvement on a year-for-year basis for the required education and experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preference will be given to applicants who possess the following preferred qualification(s). Include clear and specific information on your application regarding your qualifications.
Experience working with the general public providing customer assistance.
Experience working with a Board.
Experience assisting with licensure and compliance matters.
