Main Purpose of Job

This position monitors the Maryland Child Support Administration (CSA) State Disbursement Unit (SDU), Direct Deposit & Cash Pay Account Maintenance, stop payment processing, and MD SDU Security Monitor, within the Department of Human Services (DHS).

POSITION DUTIES

Monitors contract services provided by the contractor for the CSA/SDU to ensure that deliverables are met; monitors weekly unidentified payments review, forgery processing, daily void check verifications, monthly Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) monitoring, and submits status reports with requests for corrective action plan; researches, processes, maintains, and resolves the reversal and research requests for direct deposit or EPIC account holders; and performs all other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.

Experience: Two years experience in administrative or professional work.

Notes:

1. Candidates may substitute additional experience in administrative staff or professional work on a year-for-year basis for the required education.

2. Candidates may substitute additional graduate level education at an accredited college or university at the rate of 30 semester credit hours for each year of the required experience.

3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work that included regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting complex administrative plans, policies, rules or regulations or analysis of operational programs or procedures with recommendations for improvement on a year-for-year basis for the required education and experience.

SELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must meet the selective qualification(s) to be considered. Include clear and specific information on your application regarding your qualifications.

If you are not using the substitution to meet the Minimum Qualifications, you must have one year of the required minimum qualification experience working in a Title IV-D Child Support Program.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preference will be given to applicants who possess the following preferred qualification(s). Include clear and specific information on your application regarding your qualifications.

1.Two years of experience with banks and banking systems, including on-line and reporting processes.

2.Two years of experience using Microsoft Office Excel to create spreadsheets and formulas.

3.Two years of customer service experience responding to customer and internal stakeholder inquiries via written and oral communications

4.Strong written and oral communication skills.

5.Demonstrated skills in effective time management, priority setting, multi-tasking and problem solving.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.
