Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of the Director of Rehabilitation Services is to coordinate and direct the Rehabilitation Services Department of the Springfield Hospital Center. In conjunction with the Rehabilitation Support Staff, the Clinical Director, the Chief Executive Officer and the customers, this position will design, implement and evaluate an accessible rehabilitation program that is flexible, culturally competent, research and expert based, and responsive to the patients, their families and the communities identified needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university and current Maryland license as an Occupational Therapist from the applicable Maryland Board.

Experience: Qualified candidate must possess 5 years of Occupational Therapy experience, including 1 year of supervisory experience in an inpatient hospital setting. 

Notes:

1. A Masters degree in Occupational Therapy will substitute for 2 years of the general experience.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Candidates must possess a current license as an Occupational Therapist from the Maryland State Board of Occupational Therapy Practice in accordance with Occupational Therapy Article, Section 10-301.

SELECTION PROCESS

This is a Management Service position, and serves at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority.  A resume must accompany your application
