Introduction
This position is limited to current permanent and contractual employee of the Maryland State Department of Education the Division of Business Services.

POSITION DUTIES
The primary purpose of this is the maintenance of vendor tables, entering cash receipts and journal entries, and intra-agency transactions into FMIS.
Performs as Agency Vendor Coordinator in R*STARS. Imports all vendors into R*STARS. Process changes, additions and/or deletion to the Agency vendor tables in R*STARS within two (2) days of request. Ensures that there is sufficient back up for the changes, additions and or deletions for vendor changes. Maintains files of changes.
Determining what type of cash receipt has been received for transaction code purposes and entering them into FMIS within two (2) days of deposit. Keep the mail and deposit log updated with every deposit keyed into FMIS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: One year of experience reconciling agency accounting systems to fiscal control systems or developing automated spreadsheets, ledgers and reports using accounting software packages or identifying budget trends and recommending budget realignments.
Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute experience calculating and recording financial, statistical or other numerical data may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience in Financial Clerical/Finance Technicians classifications or specialty codes in the financial field of work at a rate of one year of military experience for the required experience.

Six (6) months of FMIS experience
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience using Agency Coordinator in R*STARS
Experience verifying financial transactions
Customer service experience
Experience with Microsoft Office Word and Excel
