POSITION DUTIES

This position is performing the full performance level of the following work, to include: process housing requests, stop payment requests, reallocation of payments, completing the daily deposit and documenting all actions taken within the statewide database. Reconcile and update daily reports to compile data for fiscal and upper management use for monthly analysis. Development, update and implement automated spreadsheets to best complete fiscal reconciliations as required. Perform all account adjustment and account maintenance at the request of staff and the court. Communicate with the other departments to ensure payments are processed correctly. Perform full accounts reconciliations. Effectively interpret court order information in terms of mathematical calculations as ordered by the court. This position must communicate effectively by telephone, in writing and by personal contact with supervisors, contemporaries, and other personnel in local departments to meet objectives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience: One year of experience reconciling agency accounting systems to fiscal control systems or developing automated spreadsheets, ledgers and reports using accounting software packages or identifying budget trends and recommending budget realignments.

Notes:

1. Candidates may substitute experience calculating and recording financial, statistical or other numerical data may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.

2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience in Financial Clerical/Finance Technicians classifications or specialty codes in the financial field of work at a rate of one year of military experience for the required experience.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preference will be given to applicants who possess the following preferred qualification(s). Include clear and specific information on your application regarding your qualifications.

1. One year experience reviewing and interpreting court orders, specifically orders containing court ordered payments and effective dates.

2. One year experience performing mathematical calculations using Excel.

For education obtained outside the U.S., a copy of the equivalent American education as determined by a foreign credential evaluation service is required prior to hire.
