This is a position specific recruitment. The resulting certified eligible list may be used to staff several current and future vacancies for this position/function only.

Candidates will be placed on a list of eligible candidates and will remain on the list through October 2020.

POSITION DUTIES

The Comptroller of Maryland, Taxpayer Services Division is seeking Temporary Workers to assist taxpayers by answering and resolving telephone inquires coming in our call centers and branch offices.

Temporary positions are available in Anne Arundel County in beautiful downtown Annapolis near the Capitol, the waterfront, and several popular restaurants. If you are interested in kick starting a future state career, excel in customer service, enjoy solving problems and helping others; we currently have excellent entry level temporary positions available. We offer paid training, full and part time opportunities, free parking and benefits.

These positions work Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Part-Time and Flexible work schedules are available.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: None

Experience: None

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate
  • Customer service experience

EXAMINATION PROCESS

Prior to appointment, the employee must successfully undergo a background investigation including a review of criminal, MVA and tax records; and determination of legal authorization to work in the United States or under the United States Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986. This background check is comprehensive and may involve fingerprinting.
