Main Purpose of Job

Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, staff and visitors

Some job responsibilities may include: 
  • Maintain assigned ward, office or building areas in a clean, neat and as appropriate, aseptic manner in accordance with housekeeping checklist and policies; duties may include but are not limited to mopping, sweeping, polishing, dusting, sanitizing, bed washing, and moving furniture. 
  • Utilize all supplies and equipment in a safe and effective manner in accordance with departmental policies and procedures and infection control requirements. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:     None.  

Experience:   None.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Employees appointed to positions in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle.  Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Employees in this classification may be subject to call-in 24 hours a day and, therefore, may be required to provide the employing agency with a telephone number where they can be reached.
