Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position is to assist with the jurisdictional management in the planning, oversight and monitoring of the Behavioral Health system of care in Frederick County.  This position will represent the Division to the Behavioral Health Administration (BHA) in matters pertaining to publicly funded mental health services. This position will assist the Division Director in identifying gaps in services and plan for service development and service improvement, through a participatory process involving all stakeholders, This position will oversee the purchase of mental health services for eligible consumers in a manner that maximizes efficiency of resources, via grants, contracts and monitoring fee-for-service system.This position will support the Division Director in overseeing the design and implementation of data systems required for the management of services and funding. This position ensures that all staff are operating within the Federal and State regulations and works with County Government to provide consultation and oversight to County operated Behavioral Health programming and systems development.


Qualified candidates will possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and 6 years of professional health services experience, include 3 years of experience at a supervisory or managerial level.
