This is a Management Service position. The incumbent will serve at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority.
LOCATION OF POSITION
Education: A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in accounting, public administration, or computer science.
Experience: Seven years of professional accounting experience at least four of which must have been in a management capacity in the accounting field.
** For education obtained outside of the U.S., you will be required to provide proof of the equivalent American education as determined by a foreign credential evaluation service. DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- CPA license or CPA candidate
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Familiarity with large-scale enterprise level accounting system
- Hands on experience with financial reporting software (Google docs knowledge highly desirable)
- Independent thinker
- Process improvement orientation with a focus on creating efficiencies
- Experience documenting technical accounting issues and drawing conclusions (GASB knowledge highly desirable)
- Creative problem solver
- Public accounting experience
