SUMMER 2019 PAID INTERNSHIP

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) invites eligible candidates to apply for an internship with the Information Technology Service unit. This opportunity will provide hands-on experience in the information technology field.

This is a paid internship position. Eligible candidates must be currently enrolled in a college or university and have a faculty liaison who is willing and able to work with the DNR supervisor to coordinate an internship which will earn the student credit. If the selected candidate is not earning academic credit, then s/he will be considered a seasonal employee.

The internship runs 10-12 weeks between June and August. The specific start/end dates, hours, and schedule will be determined in collaboration between the intern and supervisor.

The main purpose of this position is to plan, create, and perform analysis in the development of a DNR Mobile Game. The selected candidate will initiate the strategy and design for a possible hunting/fishing game to be used by the public.

Applicants must meet the following education requirements: 

• Current college student, undergraduate or graduate level
• GPA of 2.5 or above is required for academic credit

Preferred Major: Computer Science.
