LOCATION OF POSITION
MDH, Prince George's County Health Department, Largo, MD
Main Purpose of Job
This physician will provide medical management for the patients that seek care in the TB and Immunization Programs. This position will also provide consultation for general medical inquires as needed within the Agency. These services tie directly to the mission of the Health Department which is to protect the public's health, assure access to quality health care and to promote individual and community responsibility for the preventions of disease and disability.
Education: Possession of a degree in Medicine from an accredited college or university.
Experience: As required for certification in an area of medical specialization by an American Medical Association Specialty Board.
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
1. Applicants must be certified by an American Medical Association Specialty Board in an area of medical specialization.
2. Applicants must be licensed by the Maryland Board of Physicians to practice medicine under Maryland State Law. A copy of the current license must be attached to the application.
Employees in this classification are subject to substance abuse testing in accordance with Code of Maryland Regulations 17.04.09, Testing for Illegal Use of Drugs.
This is a Special Appointment position, and serves at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority. A resume must accompany your application.
