POSITION DUTIES

This position is responsible for ensuring the accurate application of the appropriate personnel rules, guidelines and regulations for each transaction of the Office of Human Resources' Workday Processing Unit. This position will assist the Automation and Workday supervisor in daily PIN data management activities, preparing extracting data and preparing reports as well as provide training and coaching to the lower level Workday Processing Unit staff. The Lead worker performs a variety of tasks ranging from a highly specialized function to a broad range of general personnel activities involving the application and explanation of principles and practices of the personnel system. The primary responsibility of this position is to lead as well as establish and maintain personnel files, assign and review personnel transactions and ensure accurate completion of tasks related to onboarding and off boarding employees, as well as assist with input and extracting data and making recommendations for process improvements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience: Three years of general clerical or administrative support experience at least one year of which must have been paraprofessional personnel experience involving the application of public sector procedures, policies, rules and regulations to specific employment actions. Appropriate paraprofessional personnel experience should have included responsibility for activities such as, preparing and maintaining employment records, calculating salaries, applying and interpreting rules and policies, preparing personnel-related reports, counseling employees regarding benefits and obligations, and responding to inquiries concerning employment actions.

Note: One additional year of paraprofessional personnel experience as defined above may be substituted for one year of general clerical or administrative support experience.

1. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in human resources assistance classification or human resources assistance specialty codes in the human resources management field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

SELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS

Applicant must have one year of experience processing transactions in Workday; to include hires, retirements, disciplinary actions and generating Workday reports.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preference will be given to applicants who possess the following preferred qualification(s). Include clear and specific information on your application regarding your qualifications.

The ideal candidate would possess:

1. Possession of an AA degree.

2. One additional year of experience performing transactions in Workday.

3. One year of experience as a lead worker and/or supervisor.

4. One year of experience using Microsoft Office Suite Word to create reports and documents and Excel to create spreadsheets.
