POSITION DUTIES

To assist and support the administrative details required to carry out the mandated functions of the Assistant Director of Family Investment, Assistant Director of Services, Assistant Director of Child Support, and Assistant Director of Quality Assurance. To provide programmatic data collection, reporting, and interpretation to support compliance and continuous quality improvement. To ensure that there is consistent reporting and follow up on mission critical assignments including audit findings, Child Welfare statistical reports, and compliance.

Prepare correspondence, schedule daily calendars, and other related duties. -Continuous Quality Improvement: Participates as a member of the CQI Compliance team to review processes and procedures, identifying and providing recommendations for improvements in operational efficiency. -Data Processing: Collects and complies data and information as part of the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) process at St Mary's DSS.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Completion of 60 credit hours at an accredited college or university.

Experience: Two years of experience in administrative or professional work.

Notes:

1. Candidates may substitute experience as defined above at the rate of one year experience for 30 credit hours of education for up to 60 credit hours of the required education.

2. Candidates may substitute a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university for the required education and experience.

3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer involving staff work requiring regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting rules and regulations in accordance with agency laws and policies on a year-for-year basis for the required education and experience.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preference will be given to applicants who possess the following preferred qualification(s).  Include clear and specific information on your application regarding your qualifications.

1. One year experience in utilizing data tracking spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets, etc.).

2. One year experience in customer service in a human service agency.

3. One year experience in multitasking and balancing multiple projects. 

4. One year experience in supporting executive level staff in a professional environment.

5. Completion of 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university in Business, or similar studies.

LIMITATIONS ON SELECTION

Candidate must be willing to work in St. Mary's county.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Candidate may be responsible for providing their own transportation as needed to access meetings, remote locations, and job destinations as assigned.

For education obtained outside the U.S., a copy of the equivalent American education as determined by a foreign credential evaluation service is required prior to hire.
