POSITION DUTIES

In order to ensure RICA-Baltimore sustains a family driven, youth guided program, the incumbent within this position completes numerous mission critical functions in conjunction with, or behalf of the Chief Executive Officer, or the facility's Executive Board (consists of the CEO, COO, Medical Director, Director of Nursing, Clinical Director, Principal, and Director of Quality Improvement). Examples of work completed include; acting as the Executive Assistant to the CEO, compiling and completing reports for the CEO to be sent to various public and private officials and organizations, supervises the preparation of all facility policies and procedural manuals (outside of Human Resources), maintains facility organizational charts, compiles and presents statistical data and reports as it relates to public and private RICA'S (includes ADP, average census, e.g.), assists in the supervision of the facilities information management program/systems, regularly communicates with officials from both the public and private sector (on behalf of the CEO), provides consultation to the facility's Executive Board on State and facility policies/procedures, and insures the facility's administrative wing and support services maintain the supplies necessary and acts as the official timekeeper for the administrative wing and facility's secretarial staff. In addition, this incumbent within this position supervises the secretarial staff assigned to the front desk and assigned coverage.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.

Experience: Three years experience in administrative or professional work.

Notes:

1. Candidates may substitute additional experience in administrative staff or professional work on a year-for-year basis for the required education.

 2. Candidates may substitute additional graduate level education at an accredited college or university at the rate of 30 semester credit hours for each year of the required experience.

3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work that included the regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting complex administrative plans, policies, rules or regulations or analysis of operational programs or procedures with recommendations for improvement on a year-for-year basis for the required education and experience.  

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Qualifications:

1. 1 year prior experience with multi-link phone system.

2. 1 year supervisory experience.

Must be a current RICA Baltimore employee.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.
