Main Purpose of Job

The seasonal maintenance position at Jefferson Patterson Park and Museum is located in St. Leonard, Calvert County, Maryland. The main responsibilities of this position include grounds maintenance, building maintenance, vehicle maintenance, and custodial duties. The seasonal maintenance staff will be assigned to assist with inspecting, maintaining, and making minor repairs to electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems, as well as repairing drywall, siding, and other carpentry tasks such as painting and staining. In addition, the seasonal maintenance staff will operate tractors, mowers, hand, and power tools associated with landscape and grounds upkeep. Other duties may include custodial services to promote a healthy environment for workers and visitors as well as preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment. Occasionally, work will require lifting and moving heavy objects, up to 50 lbs. The seasonal maintenance staff will also assist JPPM staff with meetings, fundraisers, and large public events.

**This position works a Wednesday through Sunday work week, some evenings required.**

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High School Diploma

Experience: At least 6 months of experience in any combination of grounds maintenance, building maintenance, vehicle maintenance, and custodial duties.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Must have a valid Maryland driver's license
