LOCATION OF POSITION
MDH, Office of Pharmacy Services, Analytics and Policy Services Unit, Baltimore, MD
Main Purpose of Job
This position will research, develop, and analyze health care data to support policy, program and services development and implement high-priority pharmacy services policy initiatives for the Office of Pharmacy Services. This position will also support the Director of the Office of Pharmacy Services (OPS) and the Manager of the Analytics and Policy Services Unit (APS) by researching, developing, evaluating, analyzing data and writing reports. This position will complete required federal reporting, annual budgeting, monitor and implement structural changes as required in federal and State terms and conditions and perform other related duties.
Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Three years of experience evaluating, analyzing, researching and developing health care services, policies and programs.
Notes: 1. A Master's degree in Health Sciences, Health Care Administration, Public Health, Public Policy or closely related field may be substituted for one year of the required experience.
2. A PhD in Health Sciences, Health Care Administration, Public Health, Public Policy or closely related field may be substituted for two years of the required experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
The desired candidate should have:
- health care policy experience in a Pharmacy environment
- Juris Doctor Degree
- written and verbal communication skills experience
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.
