COORDINATOR SPECIAL PROGRAMS HEALTH SERVICES I

MULTIPLE FULL-TIME CONTRACTUAL

Recruitment #20-002722-0018

GRADE

12

LOCATION OF POSITION

MDH/Carroll County Health Department, Westminster, Maryland

Main Purpose of Job

This recruitment is for multiple full-time contractual positions.

As part of Governor Hogan's 'Maryland Strong: Roadmap to Recovery' plan, contact tracing is a critical piece of minimizing the spread of disease in the community, while allowing the careful and coordinated reopening of the economy. This position will work with the Infectious and Communicable Disease divisions. This position will also contact individuals with a laboratory-confirmed case of COVID-19, in relation to Carroll County.

Additionally, this position will complete necessary case documentation and develop a list of potential close contacts. This list will then be shared with contact tracers for follow-up purposes. Lastly, this position will supervise a team of contact tracers, all of whom will work primarily in a remote fashion, as they communicate with identified close contacts of positive cases of COVID-19.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, Education, Counseling, or a related field.

Note: 1. A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in another field, plus one year of professional experience in health services, may be substituted for the specific degree.

2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a Commissioned Officer in Health Care Administration classifications or Civil Affairs Specialist specialty codes in the health related field of work, on a year-for-year basis, for the required experience and education.

SELECTION PROCESS

Applicants who meet the minimum (and selective) qualifications will be included in further evaluation. The evaluation may be a rating of your application, based on your education, training and experience, as they relate to the requirements of the position. Therefore, it is essential that you provide complete and accurate information on your application.

Please report all related education, experience, dates, and hours of work. Clearly indicate your college degree and major on your application, if applicable. For education obtained outside the U.S., any job offer will be contingent on the candidate providing an evaluation for equivalency by a foreign credential evaluation service prior to starting employment (and may be requested prior to interview).

Complete applications must be submitted by the closing date. Information submitted after this date will not be added.

Incorrect application forms will not be accepted. Resumes will not be accepted in lieu of a completed application.
