Main Purpose of Job

This position will ensure that the Medical Assistance population of Kent County is able to access any necessary health care services by providing administrative and program management duties for the Kent County Health Department (KCHD)'s Maryland Children's Health Program/Families and Children Program, as well as for the Administrative Care Coordination Program. This position will also coordinate the services, activities and work assignments for each program, in order to ensure grant compliance and compliance of all binding policies, procedures and regulations of both the KCHD and the Maryland Department of Health (MDH).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience: Four years of clerical experience applying policies in a medical care, health insurance, or federal or State entitlement program, including two years applying, interpreting and processing program specific information, policies, regulations, and guidelines in a medical care program.

Notes: 1. Additional general clerical experience may be substituted, on a year-for-year basis, for the required education.

2. College credits from an accredited college or university may be substituted for the required experience, at the rate of 30 credit hours for one year of experience.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The desired candidate should have experience preparing and/or monitoring grants and/or budgets, as well as experience planning, developing, and/or implementing services for a particular health program.
