Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position is to provide managerial level direction for multiple technology activities and staff within the Infrastructure/Network Division (IND). The position will assist the IND Director in the areas, including systems analysis, technical support, networks, information services, technical staff support, and other as identified by Director to support the Agency's mission and operations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and 5 years of professional IT experience.  Experience must include at least 2 years of experience managing IT at an Enterprise level (i.e. - multiple sites, multiple units, competing priorities), at least 2 years of experience managing an IT budget and at least 1 year of experience managing an IT staff in a medical environment.  Candidates may substitute professional IT experience on a year-for-year basis for the required education. Knowledge of and experience with State of Maryland procurement laws and processes is preferred.

This is a Management Service position, and serves at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority.  A resume must accompany your application.
