Main Purpose of Job

This position provides leadership of the administration, coordination, and management for all the Innovations and Development by the Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA).  This position is responsible for developing, implementing and analyzing policy and best practice for services under the Innovations and Development services unit in accordance with state and federal statute and regulations.  This position oversees Employment First/Meaningful Day, Supporting Families, Advocacy Support, Provider Relations, Children and Transitioning Youth (TY) Services, Behavior Support Services and Independent Living/Housing.   

All of these services are provided statewide and support as many 22,000 people through a network of approximately 200 private and public service providers.   

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university and at least six (6) years of professional experience in health or human services, three (3) years of which must have been professional work related to services to persons with developmental disability and three (3) years of which must have been at the managerial and/or supervisory level. 

A Master’s degree will substitute for one year of general experience.  A Doctorate will substitute for two years general experience.  Additional experience will substitute year-for-year for the college degree. 

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The desired candidate will possess extensive knowledge and experience with the DDA Service Delivery System, its Annotated Code and relevant regulations.

This is a Management Service position, and serves at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority.  A resume must accompany your application.
