Main Purpose of Job

The Office of the Attorney General ('OAG') is seeking applicants for the position of Investigative Auditor in its Criminal Division. This individual will work with Assistant Attorneys General, Investigative Auditors, civilian investigators and law enforcement officers in the investigation and prosecution of fraud, corruption, and multi-jurisdictional criminal cases.

POSITION DUTIES

The position is responsible for conducting complex financial investigations, which includes reviewing and analyzing records, conducting interviews, and testifying in court.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (degree in business, finance or accounting is preferred); seven years of auditing/investigating in an administrative or professional setting; and an aptitude for detailed work.  Demonstrated knowledge of Excel is preferred.  Certified Public Accountant, Certified Fraud Examiner or Certified Internal Auditor designations are preferred but not required.  

The ideal candidate will also be a team player who can work independently, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

SELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Qualifications:

1.  Capable of setting goals and deadlines and oversee the workflow of a unit

2.  Experience with coordinating leave and staff coverage of a unit

3.  Experience in directing and assisting in the direction of the daily operations of the a unit

4.  Experience with being a liaison between the executive and agency units.
