Main Purpose of Job

The Director of Program Services  position entails 24/7 supervision and responsibility for six residential cottages and the residential programming for the Potomac Center/SETT along with the Vocational Programming and services. Ensures compliance with the Office of Health Care Quality (OHCQ), Federal ICF/IID regulations, and COMAR regulations. Responsible for oversight of development and implementation of person-centered plans for individuals served. Develops and oversees performance improvement and quality assurance initiatives to ensure quality level of active treatment. The Director of Program Services is a member of the Senior Leadership Team and assists in leading the organization and making decision in the best interest of the organization.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree from and accredited college or university in a human services field including, but not limited to, sociology, social work, special education, rehabilitation counseling, or psychology and at least 5 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role working with adults with intellectual disabilities in a residential or vocational program.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred candidates should possess the following:

  • Experience in providing supervision and oversight for a 24/7 residential program serving adults with intellectual disabilities and behavioral health needs. 
  • Experience in working with individuals with forensic involvement.
  • Experience in policy and procedure development and implementation.
  • Experience in developing and executing quality improvement plans. 
  • Experience in development and implementation of Person-Centered Plans for adults with Intellectual Disabilities. 
  • Experience in working with licensing and regulatory bodies for compliance with State and Federal regulations.
