This position is located 2.5 hours from Baltimore.

POSITION DUTIES

The primary purpose of this Supply Officer III position is to manage and operate the Thomas B. Finan Hospital Center’s Main Storeroom and adjacent Motor Storage Room. This includes being responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing supplies, materials, and equipment, stocking shelves, maintaining the storerooms in a clean, neat, and orderly manner, filling and delivering orders, assisting in maintaining records of inventory, and checking invoices for damaged goods or shortages.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:   Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience: Four years of experience in receiving, storing and issuing supplies, materials or equipment in a storeroom, warehouse or other supply storage facility.

Notes:

1. Candidates may substitute additional experience as described above on a year-for-year basis for up to four years of the required education.

2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in logistics specialist classifications or administrative support specialty codes in the logistics or unit supply field of work, on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with the State of Maryland Inventory systems and Microsoft Excel preferred.
